It’s been a busy couple of days. Sunday night we had birthday baseball, burgers and cake for Max’s 11th birthday.
Anne’s friend Grace arrived and her cousin Hadley was here so there were finally more girls than boys.
The next day we went to watch Hadley at the Rodetto. She was entered in the Goat Tail Tying, Keyhole, Barrel Racing and Pole Bending. We missed the Goat Tail Tying and Keyhole.
And we watched 475 Barrel Racers before it was finally Hadley’s turn….ok maybe not quite 475 but it was close.
My niece Alex entertained us while we waited. She found a cute cowboy and wouldn’t let go of his hand.
This is Hadley in the Barrel Race.
We had some down time waiting for the Pole Bending so we checked out the petting zoo. This bulls name is Joe, he’s from South America, he’s the tallest bread of cattle but I don’t remember what it is. There was also a water buffalo, a miniature Hereford, baby pigs and ducks. Just in case you were wondering.
This is Hadley in the Pole Bending. She did awesome!
Afterwords we went out for burgers and milkshakes.
Then we came home and went on a lizard hunt because the day’s not complete until you’ve hunted for lizards. Alas, they were too quick and so we will have to try again another day.
Meanwhile, the boys spent the day putingt salt out for the cows which the cows appreciated. And that was that.
