On February 24th, 2004 this little girl arrived. We named her Anne Katheryn after her Great Grandma Anne (aka GG) and her Aunt Katheryn Casey.
We had no idea when we named her how much she would be like her namesakes. She loves gadgets and helping people and can’t bear to part with anything that someone she loves has given her, just like GG. She cracks herself up over silly knock knock jokes, loves dogs and horses more than anything else on earth and puts way too much salt on everything, including chocolate and pizza, just like Casey.
And she and Casey could be twins if they weren’t 17 years apart in age.
Anne has been very busy the past 9 years. First she got to know her big brother. They always get along….except when they are fighting or arguing, other than that they always get along.
She’s made great friends who’ve stuck by her through the years.
She’s enjoyed time with grandparents and cousins.
And she’s always willing to try new things.
She’s mastered the art of the long distance car ride.
and the Force.
And then there’s been about 100 Prince of Peace musicals.
She roots for the Vikings and the Twins because her brother left her no choice.
This year her life long dream of owning a dog came true. Hopefully, my dream of new carpet will come true by the time her next birthday rolls around.
She can make anything out of duck tape, really anything, and she knows all the words to all of Taylor Swift’s songs. She makes us smile everyday.
Happy Birthday Anne!
