In the midst of moving cattle, fighting fire and playing at the lake, it was also Fair and Rodeo week last week. And Anne also had a bout with the stomach flu. I’m tired just remembering it.
Hadley and Ashley competed in the Rodetto. Hadley took checks home in the Keyhole, Goat Tail Tying and the Pole Bending and Ashley took a check home from the Barrel Race. It was a successful couple of days.
All the fun was followed up with the traditional milk shake extravaganza at Johnny J’s.
And then the girls helped with the Muttin Bustin at the Rodeo. They helped the kids get geared up with their vests and helmets, giving them a pep talk before the event and then handing out awards.
It can’t be all work and no play so off we headed to the carnival.
And just because I’m sure you really need to know this. Here is a picture of the tallest horse in the world standing next to the shortest horse in the world and also the largest pig in the world.
The Cervi boys put on a great rodeo, as usual.
Kim, Jason and Casey helped run the horses at the end of the rodeo which is really impressive but I did not get a single picture of it. So you’ll just have to trust me that it’s cool. But here’s a picture of Casey and her mini-me Anne.
And here is our favorite Fair Board member pictured with a future Fair Board member.
As fun as it is, it’s kind of good thing that Fair week is only once a year.
